“There has been another killing just south of Lolgorien, near Nregi.”

(I reach for my cell phone. I press “voice dial”.)

“Hey Miles. Just got a phone call from Bill Opopo’s replacement, Benjamin Niemba. There has been another killing just south of Lolgorien, near Nregi. We now have our target.”

“Oh that’s bad news, Mate,” Miles answered, turning down his radio. “But good news in the sense that we have a fresh lead. Benga and Makali will be able to have warm tracks. You know, we know that bugger Niemba. Isn’t he the chap that tried to fine us regarding an elephant we bagged near Marsabit last year?”

“Yep, that’s the one. I didn’t remind him of that, but good news. Noah has assigned him to accompany us on this hunt. He is already in Lolgorien waiting on our arrival.”

“For Christ’s sake, Chuck, you’ve got to be kidding!”

“Wish I was. Our camper just got more crowded. Keep smiling. See ya’ in Kericho in about an hour.”

“Ok. Roger that Bwana. Stay positive.”
