“I can’t be responsible for you!”

(“I can’t be responsible for you!”)

“I know. I’ll try to stay out of the way. I do have a lot of game trapping experience. Sorry, Noah’s idea.”

“Ok, where do we meet you?”

“I’ll be at the petrol station as you come into Lolgorien.”

“Alright. It will be about 1:30.”

“See you then.”

I honked at Miles to stop, but he didn’t hear me -bet he’s got his radio blaring away. He loves his country music, and he’s all alone until he picks up Benga after lunch. Makali had heard my side of the conversation and understood what had happened. I reach for my cell phone. I press “voice dial”.
