“Closing my eyes, I whispered a quiet prayer…”

(I found it necessary to have one last shot of “Jack”, to help me sleep.)

Laying there in the dark, with the soft sound of crickets riding the moonbeams that were peaking in through the curtains, I found myself again feeling the anguish and concerns related to the danger I was placing my friends in. Closing my eyes, I whispered a quiet prayer, asking for guidance, strength, and the courage to see this safari to a successful and safe conclusion. I asked God’s protection over my friends, Miles, Benga, and Makali.

“Watch over and protect them, Lord. Amen.”
