The game is afoot. Game on!
The rest of the night, after cleaning the dinner mess, was spent packing our personal gear and giving a final check to the trapping gear that Makali and Miles had separated earlier that night. Makali gave Benga a call to make sure he would be ready to be picked him up about mid morning. We agreed to awaken by 6:00 am to pack the Rover and head out by 7:30. Our first appointment is in Kericho with Veterinarian, Dr. Jacob Longo to pick up the cage and sedation fluid. The drive will take about 1 1/2 hours. We will need to get a few “edible” supplies at a favorite store about 30 minutes from The Lodge. Just a quick stop, but a favorite – for snacks and local game information. The second real stop will be in Chebown, just 30 minutes or so from Kericho, for the camper, or “tent on wheels”, as Makali called it.
