Closing the sliding door behind me, I head straight to the kitchen and place my coffee mug in the sink next to several days of dirty dishes. I put the stopper in the other sink and turn the faucet to “hot”. As the water heats-up, I rinse the dishes and prepare for battle. The bottle of liquid soap is in the cabinet below the sink. With the water now being of adequate heat, I make quick work of the dishes and set them on a dish towel to dry. I make a “pass” through the main room and pick-up some trash and do some strategic straightening. When I leave for the store, I’ll do a quick touch-up to the first floor. While in the kitchen, I use a notepad and pen on the counter and make a short grocery list. Then, heading upstairs, I grab my wallet, my keys, and my Judge, and head back down to the bottom floor. The two office rooms on the first floor have windows that face east, and the morning light is bright enough to illuminate most of the area. Even though the main storage room does not have a window, there is enough light to make me feel better as to its’ condition. I think it is ok for now, so I put on my jacket that is hanging near the door, and load my Judge with 410 shells. Placing it in my right hand, I slowly open the back door.
