“Good morning Malkali”, I said with a grin. “Thank you for the coffee. I can’t ever seem to awaken before you. We have a clear morning”, I added.
“Morn’ Bwana”, setting the tray on the table outside my tent. “but little wind, I’d be more happy with bigger wind.”
“Malkaki, you have been practicing your english. Well done, nzuri sana.”
“Thank you, Bwana. Shall I awaken hunters, Bwana?” Malkali asked as he turned to go.
“No, not yet.” I said reaching for the coffee pot. “However, bring me the map of the ranch when you can”. “Is Bwana Bryce up yet?”
“Not yet, Bwana”, he said as he turned and walked back toward the mess tent. I laughed. Bryce was always the last one up.
